Finally, Pandemic Accountability is Coming
What a long, strange trip it’s been. After five long years, there are promising signs that accountability is coming for the government scientists’ and military and intelligence bureaucrats’ surreal authoritarian response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This past weekend Terry and I hosted a party at our home to celebrate the once-implausible confirmation of Dr. Jay Bhattacharya as the new Director of the National Institutes of Health. Over 100 “Lockdown Dissidents” gathered to mark Jay’s incredible karmic journey from being labeled a “fringe epidemiologist” by the former head of the NIH, Francis Collins, to the man who now occupies that office.
And just today, the White House updated its Covid website to finally place blame where blame is due—on Anthony Fauci and his role in creating the virus that leaked from a lab:
“‘The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2’ publication—which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory—was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that Covid-19 originated naturally.”
Finally.
It’s been a long time coming, and for much of that time, I’ve felt like one of the very few voices of reason in a political wilderness of lies, manipulation, fear, and panic. But the narrative is changing. And I believe that the work we’ve been doing at Free the People has played a major role in this transformation.
Take, for example, the release of the fourth installment of my investigative series, The Coverup, featuring Dr. Richard Ebright, a well-respected molecular biologist at Rutgers University who has long been warning about the dangers of government gain-of-function research. The paper the Trump White House is now calling out—orchestrated by Dr. Fauci and a closed circle of scientists he funded—is one of many revelations meticulously documented in this bombshell episode.
Dr. Ebright also reveals, with detailed receipts, that my suspicions about dangerous lab manipulation of deadly viruses being a project of the military-industrial complex were correct. It turns out that the funding for this kind of research dates back to the Bush Administration, with Dick Cheney doggedly pushing major investments in bioweapons research after 9/11.
This is a must-see episode of The Coverup, tying together many of the threads explored throughout the series so far. But it’s not the end of my investigation. I’ve already talked to Matt Taibbi, one of the “Twitter Files” reporters who exposed the ways government defense and intelligence agencies systemically censored Americans’ speech on social media to reinforce a false Covid narrative. The Taibbi episode is coming soon, to be released on BlazeTV and all our social media platforms soon.
I will wrap up The Coverup series with the great science author Matt Ridley, offering a robust defense of the scientific process and medical innovation, and exposing the fatal conceit of The Science—a Frankenstein’s Monster representing everything that is wrong and deadly about government’s manipulation and central planning of science. In the meantime, be sure to watch my conversation with Dr. Ebright, available here. And if you haven’t already, you can watch the whole series so far on Free the People’s website.
As for the White House calling out Fauci, it’s a good start, but not nearly enough. We need full accountability so that this never, ever happens again.
Onward.

I find it hard to believe that Fauci and the others will be held accountable. We can only hope.
