Project DOGE: Cut National Defense Spending

The U.S. Department of Defense is the largest federal department, employing nearly 3 million people and spending more than $800 billion per year. There’s no question that national defense is an essential function of government, but the Pentagon has been careless with your tax dollars, failing its 7th audit in a row, and is unable to account for $200 billion of its budget. The Military Industrial Complex has been given a blank check to do whatever it likes, whether it serves America’s interests or not. Matt Kibbe reminds us why the Department of Defense is an ideal target for the DOGE to go in and clean house.
