The West Is in Serious Trouble | Guest: Glenn Beck | Ep 139

Matt Kibbe sits down with TheBlaze.com founder Glenn Beck to discuss his rescue activities in Afghanistan, as well as the increasingly depressing state of the world. Having seen unspeakable horrors with his own eyes, Beck now understands the magnitude of government’s cruelty and callousness towards ordinary people, even when lives are at stake. That knowledge, combined with the systematic attempts to dismantle the values and freedoms of Western civilization, makes it difficult to be an optimist at this particular time in history, although Kibbe gives it the old college try.

Matt Kibbe

Matt Kibbe is President at Free the People, an educational foundation using video storytelling to turn on the next generation to the values of personal liberty and peaceful cooperation. He is also co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a video and strategic communications company. Kibbe is the host of BlazeTV’s Kibbe on Liberty, a popular podcast that insists that you think for yourself.

Dubbed “the scribe” by the New York Daily News, Kibbe is the author three books, most recently the #2 New York Times bestseller Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto.

He was senior advisor for a Rand Paul Presidential Super PAC in 2016, and later co-founded AlternativePAC to promote libertarian values.

In 2004 Kibbe founded FreedomWorks, a national grassroots advocacy organization, and served as President until his departure in 2015. Steve Forbes said: “Kibbe has been to FreedomWorks what Steve Jobs was to Apple.”

An economist by training, Kibbe did graduate work at George Mason University and received his B.A. from Grove City College. He serves at the whim of his awesome wife Terry, and their three objectivist cats, Roark, Ragnar and Rearden. Kibbe is a fanatical DeadHead, drinker of craft beer and whisky, and collector of obscure books on Austrian economics.

  • The ultimate decentralized political paradigm is universal sovereignty, every individual self-governing. From there, we voluntarily build social relationships based on non-violence, real choice, NOT voting, which is the renunciation of choice, the forfeit of sovereignty.

    • Perhaps we need a ‘centralized’ political paradigm that embodies ‘self-sovereignty.’

The individual is self-governing in a responsible way for other folks whether they are woke or not. We know folks make mistakes that they can recover from socially. Human choice is a best policy, not just coercion into social convention.

Voting can be a real choice if candidates for policy positions are not too constricted by the powers that control.

  • Are we in trouble because: we are at war with the fear of Big Sister? President Biden says: We are the People. Does power corrupt?
Let us vote for self-defense and act in support for resistance to evil, resistance to lack-of-imagination, resistance to corruption.
Don’t be a slave to the ‘party.’ Non-governmental organization can be an organic political paradigm.
