Kara Pally

Kara Pally is the Chief Technology Officer at Free the People. She is a digital strategist with more than 15 years experience in website development, digital marketing, and product management.

Prior to joining Free the People, she served as Vice President of Product Development at Hirepurpose, a career site for military veterans in New York City. There, she led a team of engineers building a job site for veterans entering the civilian workforce. From 2010 to 2014, Kara led the technology efforts at FreedomWorks as Chief Technology Officer in Washington, DC. There, she worked building systems to support digital activism, email acquisition, and fundraising.

Kara first discovered the ideas of limited government and personal liberty reading Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged and working for Free the People’s fearless leader Matt Kibbe early in her career.

She holds a M.S. in Internet Technology from Pace University and a B.A. in Journalism and Communications from New York University. Kara lives in Brooklyn, NY with her family.
