As empirical evidence and public support for their positions evaporated, the “follow the science” crowd appeared to lose interest in a subject that has preoccupied them for two years, declaring victory over the virus apropos of nothing other than poor poling data and a desire to change the subject prior to the midterm elections.

Jenin must be made of some pretty strong stuff to be so innately calm and positive (maybe even joyous) in the face of the irrational that she has (and has had) to deal with. John Galt would be proud!
