Stephanie C. Hamel earned her Joint Ph.D. in Human Exposure Assessment from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/R.W. Johnson Medical School and Rutgers University Department of Environmental Science. She has a M.S. in Chemistry from Lehigh University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Grove City College, taught Chemistry at Carlow College and worked as a synthetic organic chemist. She is the author of Gas Drilling and the Fracking of a Marriage and has contributed articles to Pennsylvania Magazine.
