Kara Pally is the Chief Technology Officer at Free the People. She is a digital strategist with more than 15 years of experience in website development, digital marketing, and IT operations.

Prior to joining Free the People in 2016, Kara served as Vice President of Product Development at Hirepurpose, a career site and lifestyle publication for military veterans. She led a team of engineers building a job site for veterans entering the civilian workforce.

From 2010 to 2014, Kara served as Chief Technology Officer at FreedomWorks in Washington, DC. She led the organization’s technology efforts, building systems to support digital activism, email acquisition, and fundraising.

She holds a M.S. in Internet Technology from Pace University and a B.A. in Journalism and Communications from New York University. Kara lives in New York City with her family.
